Tiapapata Art Centre for your next visit

Tiapapata_Arts_Centre

In the tranquil hills of Tiapapata, just 8 km from Apia, lies the Tiapapata Art Centre, a learning centre and haven for art enthusiasts and food lovers. The Centre boasts a vibrant art gallery and production studio, offering visitors a unique hands-on experience in an inclusive creative space and the opportunity to immerse themselves in a unique and locally inspired art scene. Additionally, the Centre features a café serving a variety of vegan and vegetarian dishes made with fresh, organic ingredients, many of which are grown on the property.

The Tiapapata Art Centre also offers accommodation through Airbnb: in the Mango Tree House, the Tiny House, and the Bamboo House, all nestled amidst lush greenery filled with birdsong. Visitors can also explore the Faletele, the iconic traditional architecture of Samoa that is entirely lashed with coconut sennit. The fale is noticeably cooler inside, even on hot days.

Established by Galumalemana Steve and Wendy Percival in 1989, the Centre is currently expanding with the construction of a Dojo for Judo and Martial Arts Training, and a paper arts studio where the rustic paper will be made using fibers processed from plants and trees.

Situated next to the Bahá’í Temple, the Tiapapata Art Centre is a perfect retreat for those seeking a peaceful escape and an opportunity to indulge in art, culture, and nature.
